WHY OUR JIGHEADS ARE BEST
Yes.
Because it’s made in the USA and uses a 2x hook most other jigheads run a 1x or light wire which frequently bends out or isn’t as strong. Its premium in every aspect and well thought out.
No they are 3d eyes that are clear coated as well as stuck on with adhesive. They aren’t forever but last a lot longer than the competition.
Several things, it helps position the jig more vertical on the bottom, it works slightly better for casting and swimming presentations, it also comes through weeds and rocks much better than 90degree.
Great question! It serves several purposes. It allows the jighead to bounce off rocks and bottom better than traditional jigheads, it also allows the paddle tail style baits to roll slightly more than a regular jighead all the while keeping straight tail plastics running true.
You can use the hover hook many different ways: Texas rig, Alabama rigs, or as a free lining live bait hook. We have also heard of anglers deadsticking live bait or soft plastics in cold water to make catches as well as using the hover hook with a 6-7” straight tail worm. Our favorite way to fish these is with a Trd style bait.
We suggest anything that doesn’t have a boot tail design. These tend to spin out with any speed unless, you are using the hover hooks all on an Alabama rig. Think jerkshad or straight tail such as a crawl or straight tailed worm.
Yes, we have entry level and advanced anglers smashing fish of all types on both live bait and frozen bait!
Yes, there will be limited edition color drops as well as certain colors depending on the geographical region. We are thinking redhead next, what are your thoughts?
We suggest lighter line either floro or mono leader on the lighter jigs but it’s best to pair up the lb test with the species you are going after and the rod and reels you will be using.
1/16-3/32-1/8-1/4-3/8 we would suggest 6-15lb test line-leader. 1/4-3/8-1/2-3/4-1oz we would suggest 15-40lb leader. 3/4-1oz large fish like cobia-tarpon-sharks-bull red fish-grouper-snapper-musky-pike-catfish 30-80lb line-leader.
If the fish are toothy feel free to use single or braided wire.
What type of rod and reel should I pair up with these?Depends on the species you are after and what depth you plan to fish. We suggest xtra fast action light rods and smaller reels for smaller fish and shallower water or fish suspended over open water basins think 7-7’6” light action rods with 2000 series reels and 1/4oz or less (1/16-3/32-1/8)
Deeper and heavier we suggest mod to fast action on 6’6”-7’6” medium-medium heavy action rods with 3000 series or higher spinning reels. Same thing for casting but with a 200-300 series.
We are seeing many catches in all seasons on “The Upgrade” biggest size either in the spring or fall. Most fish right before winter time September-November.
Each jighead can be fished at many different depths and speeds. Here is a good rule of thumb:
1/16oz very shallow 0-5ft
3/32oz very shallow 0-5ft
1/8oz very shallow 0-5ft
1/4oz shallow to moderate 0-15ft
3/8oz shallow to moderate 0-15ft
1/2oz shallow to moderate 0-22ft
3/4oz shallow to moderate 0-32ft
1oz moderate to deep or burning it fast shallow 0-40ft
2oz not in production yet Deep 20-120ft
3oz not in production yet. Deep 30-140ft
Yes you can we have seen guys use both the hover hooks as well as the upgrade jigheads and have success.
Yes they will we have even seen them as far out as 100ft on the sonar if the settings are dialed in.
