Our Story

Ebb N Flow Outdoors was founded by Dave Erdly, a lifelong angler from Wolf Lake in Northern Indiana. Dave grew up fishing every body of water he could find, and that obsession never left him. After 15 years working with major outdoor businesses and watching the same problems repeat — cheap hooks, inconsistent balance, eyes that fell off — he decided to build something better.

In 2023, Dave engineered The Upgrade™ jig head from scratch. The result was a patent-pending design featuring HEX Fusion Technology, a 60-degree line tie, a stabilization keel, and an internal belly weight system that eliminates superglue forever. It works in fresh water, salt water, and rivers. It carries bucktail, skirts, soft plastics, and live bait. It's the jig head Dave always wished existed — and now it does.

Where We Fish

Dave is based in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, where inshore fishing for redfish and speckled trout is a way of life. But The Upgrade™ has been put to work chasing largemouth bass, walleye, striped bass, flounder, snook, and everything in between.

If it swims, we're probably fishing for it.
